Health and safety and environmental protection (HSE)
Our HSE policy
Westcontrol is a responsible and conscientious company and it is imperative that its working environment remains a safe and sound one. Westcontrol’s staff its most important asset and, by keeping its staff focused and involved, Westcontrol will promote and maintain a particular HSE culture during its day-to-day operations.
Our objectives
We will prevent accidents and hazards to human health or the environment.
We will work to create safety and well-being in the workplace.
Our products and services must be safe for those purchasing them.
We will ensure implementation of our health and safety and environmental protection objectives by drawing up plans and priorities, in line with our manufacturing, service and finance plans.
Our company will ensure that the operations throughout its entire structure are compliant with any applicable regulation in this field.
Our HSE management system
In order to achieve this, Westcontrol has put in place quality assurance and HSE systems which have been well-implemented throughout its entire structure.
Our HSE system will be ensured through the implementation of environmental assessments and action plans, active fire protection and electricity watch plans, a card file cataloguing “live” substances, induction plans for newly-recruited staff, job descriptions, training programmes, staff appraisal interviews and regular staff meetings.
Sickness absence levels will be measured every month and presented as a separate statistic.
The company sponsors sports activities for its employees, such as badminton, gym membership, football and bowling.
